Summer Time is a beautifully filmed French
movie with sub-titles. It is filmed mostly in a small rural farming community.
However, the movie begins in Paris on a college campus in the 1970’s. The film
is about two young woman falling in love and their struggle with disclosing
this fact to family and their community. As one Netflix reviewers wrote, “how
do you choose between love for a place and love for a woman?” The film also
addresses the importance of women holding power and how often society
undervalues this power. The cinematography in this film is beautiful. The nude
and love scenes are tasteful and erotic. I strongly recommend this film. 2/5/17
